CALIFORNIA STATUTORY WILL

A statutory will is a will that comes directly from a statute. In this case, it's from the California Code. It's a simple form that anyone can use to create a will in California. However, a will is not always the best way to dispose of property. Some people put together a detailed estate plan to avoid probate and estate taxes, to the extent it's possible. Estate plans usually consist of giving gifts while still alive, establishing trusts, and using payable on death provisions, among other things.
